The Marketing Specialist, Research supports Interior Savings’ vision of sales & service excellence by supporting the Balanced Scorecard, strategic initiatives and conducting research and analytics to help the organization achieve its goals and objectives.

Through strong attention to detail and personal strengths in communication, leadership, organization, and the ability to meet and exceed goals and objectives, you will support the Manager, Product Research & Development in overseeing research, analytics, member feedback, product, channels and governance projects and initiatives.

You will develop, analyze, execute and report research findings from primary and secondary research sources and formulate insights and recommendations and communicate results to stakeholders. You will proactively stay current on developments in the Credit Union, research and business worlds that may be of interest to the business plans of Interior Savings.

Through your ability to plan, schedule, organize and prioritize work assignments, you will liaise with outside suppliers relative to research and analytics needs. You will negotiate terms and conditions of agreement with vendors and work with vendors to complete projects, communicate findings, and integrate or streamline processes. With a keen knowledge and understanding of Interior Savings’ products and services you will ensure the use of member data for marketing and research purposes complies with all legislation, and that such data is properly safeguarded internally and during transport to outside parties.

With strong time-management, problem solving and organizational skills, including the planning and managing of large and occasionally complex projects, you will receive, investigate, respond to and track member feedback items and find opportunities to improve and make member feedback relevant to members and ISCU. You will provide product, channel, and member behaviour analysis and insights to internal and external key stakeholders, committees and project teams. You will develop marketing programs, collateral, web content and other materials to communicate new or enhanced products to members and create employee product tools, processes and materials.

Your interpersonal skills and integrity will assist you in collaborating with other departments on research needs and activities, support member research and feedback gathering activities, and work on product, channel and governance initiatives. You will establish working relationships with other credit unions and companies in order to collaborate on initiatives relevant to your position.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma requiring 3-4 years of full-time study or equivalent, in research and/or marketing designations.

Experience/Knowledge
• 1-2 years of job-related experience in a financial services environment or marketing is an asset
• 4-6 years of job-related experience in the research field
• Knowledge of primary research techniques, ability to conduct secondary research, ability to interpret research output and develop recommendations
• Exceptional skills in data mining and analytics

Additional Requirements
• Incumbent must be committed to continuing education with respect to the field
• Incumbent must have his/her own vehicle and be willing to travel
